About the Oboz Trail Experience
Oboz Footwear and Public Lands are inviting you to complete as many of Pittsburgh's selected trails as you can from May 28 - June 30. This Experience is designed for you to re-discover your favorite trails, learn about new or lesser-known trails, push your limits, and recreate locally! You’ll also have the chance to compete against local legends, your peers, or just yourself if that’s more your style.
Local trail nonprofit organizations Trail Pittsburgh, Allegheny Land Trust, and the Rachel Carson Trails Conservancy help make the Pittsburgh Experience possible, not only by recommending trails to be included, but by continuing to preserve and enhance Pittsburgh's trail network.
The Oboz Trail Experience: Pittsburgh is open to walkers, hikers, runners, and ADA mobility devices. How many miles of the beautiful trail system can you complete? It’s free to register and sign-up is easy.
Registration opens May 11th, with the Experience running from May 28th to June 30th. All participants will receive various swag from Oboz Footwear, Public Lands, and other supporting partners. Unlock other rewards by completing Promoted Trails (you will receive a text and/or email when you complete one), and everyone who completes even just one trail will be entered to win one of five pairs of Oboz shoes at the end of the Experience! The more trails you complete, the more entries you'll receive!

New for 2022 - Teams! Create or join a public team (anyone can join) or a private team (by invite only) and easily invite others to be on your team with you. Just click on the Twitter or Facebook share links, or copy the invite link and send it however you prefer. The trails are always more fun when we share them together! Team members are still able to receive Promoted Trail rewards and any individual awards.
Be sure to check in throughout the month to see your progress, view the Current Standings, Activity Feed, and Discussion Board. And don’t forget to upload photos from your trail time on Instagram using #ObozTrailX. Our favorite photos will be randomly awarded with bonus goodies!
And, please remember to always respect our local Pittsburgh trails. Refer to Leave No Trace Principles, take only pictures, leave only footprints, and pick up any litter you find along the way.
Oboz and Public Lands have come together to commit up to $500 to each participating trail advocacy organization. If you would also like to support their organizations and the work they do, please click on DONATE in the header. Their outstanding work helps to preserve and enhance the amazing trails we have in the Pittsburgh area!

About Public Lands
Public Lands is committed to protecting and celebrating our nation’s public lands, and ensuring everyone has the opportunity to enjoy them. From the products that stock our shelves to the gear we rent and repair and the materials used to build our store, we are conscious about our impact on the earth and our community. We want to share our journey of continual learning and improvement as we work to break down barriers of access and equity in the outdoors, be better stewards of places both local and national, and honor the history and cultures surrounding our public lands. In support of this mission, Public Lands is donating 1% of sales to the Public Lands Fund, which supports organizations protecting public lands and making them more accessible to all.
